FITTING YOUR BRACE
FITTING
3-6 weeks after the first consultation, we can fit the brace and teach you how to look after it. We follow you up a week later to see how you are doing.
ADJUSTING YOUR BRACE
Usually every 4-8 weeks depending on the type of brace & stage of treatment.
REMOVAL OF BRACES
Removal of braces, cleaning the teeth, fitting the fixed retainers and making removable retainer which will be fitted 3 - 5 days later.
GETTING STARTED
ASSESSMENT
A conversation about treatment aims & a brief clinical assessment. Discussion of brace choices, costs, time scales & written estimate.
PRE TREATMENT RECORDS
We need X-rays, clinical photographs & digital scans or models of your teeth to investigate your problem.
PLANNING
Complex problems need discussing so that we can look at all our options before we finalise our plan. This is included in the records fee. Includes a more detailed written report of the agreed plan to you and your dentist.
AFTERCARE
CHECKING RETAINERS
Monitoring of retainers at 3 & 12 months after completion.
A free follow up to check treatment results at 2 years after completion.
